Meadowsweet is very useful for colds, as it causes sweating, reduces headaches and fever, and heals sore throats and coughs. It has soothing, diuretic, and decongestant properties.
The mixture is very aromatic, slightly bitter – a great summer flavor. It can be spread on warm apple or rhubarb bread, added to oatmeal.
